Taco Meatball Subs

Makes: 8 servings.

Ingredients

1 1/4 pounds lean ground beef

1 tablespoon plain dry bread crumbs

1 package Lawry's® Taco Spices & Seasonings

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce

8 submarine rolls (6-inch), toasted

8 lettuce leaves

Assorted toppings, such as guacamole, sour cream and shredded Cheddar cheese (optional)

Directions1. Mix ground beef, bread crumbs and 1 tablespoon of the Taco Seasoning Mix in medium bowl until well blended. Shape into 24 meatballs.

2. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Brown meatballs; drain fat. Stir in tomato sauce and remaining Taco Seasoning Mix. Bring to boil on high heat. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3. To serve, line rolls with lettuce. Top with meatballs. Top with assorted toppings, if desired.
